Best Wishes for a Peace-filled Holiday to You and Yours

Holiday

Since a break has become necessary, I figure it would be good to take it during the time all are enjoying visiting family, holiday celebrations, special learning opportunities, good food and great company. It’s my hope that each and every one of you cherish these moments with your children and hold them close in your heart forever.

We’ll catch you on the flipside.

Christmas Bells

Henry WadsworthLongfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas Day

Their old, familiar carols play,

And wild and sweet

The words repeat

Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Till, ringing, singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The Carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And in despair I bowed my head;
‘There is no peace on earth,’ I said;
‘For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!’

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
‘God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!’

  1. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas
    with your family. Thank you for all your wonderful words of wisdom on this blog during the year. I can’t wait to read your Learning Coach book next year, hopefully on a new Kindle!

    • Christina, Thank you so very much for your sweet comment. There will be no family for the holidays…the fates have not been very kind, I’m afraid…a new experience that circumstances dictate. I’ll be hoping that Santa sees fit to deliver you a shiny new Kindle on which you will enjoy MANY books for years to come. A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. {{{}}}
